My grandmother has one lone guinea running free at her house. It seems very content, but she will soon be getting a new flock. They will be at least a couple months old. She's worried about how the old one will get along since the new ones will be smaller. Should she be concerned?

I've read that putting the new ones in a pen and letting the resident see them, is supposed to make the introduction smooth.

I will be trying this in the near future. So I sure hope it works. That is the method I am using with my chickens. I havnt turned them out yet, but the guineas know they "belong" on the farm.

Good luck. Maybe others here will have some better advice
