Introducing one hen to the flock

that is still quite small for birds of any number my math anymore stinks but
looks like the one I first had that I sold as I could not put 3 birds in it without it
being crowded it was a prefab
I am 5’7 and I can lay length wise in it because the nesting boxes are are 2 x 5. Plus my hens are free range so they don’t spend too much time in the coop. They also have a run. How big is your current coop? And how many chickens do you keep in it?

5 x 5 is 25 ft.². Max would be 6. I always count my JG as 2. So you should be fine for now I think. I have 18 in a 12x8. So we can get just a few more next year ( chicken math). I have to agree the first picture you sent it did look terribly small. But the inside looks like you might have a good set up to be able to separate them for a short while. You will be able to tell if it will take a few days for a bit longer by the way your other chickens react. Mine scream for days. So it takes me a while but yours are yours are younger and they all react different

The first picture was taken from inside my house because I was too lazy to go outside . So don’t feel bad for thinking it was small.
Just surprised the nests are 2' out from coop, dems some big nests!

Where in this world are you located?
Climate is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, then it's always there!
