I'm in NSW , wht do u do for ur girls in the extreme heat?

I have only just got chickens afew months ago and am still learning but I have their coop in the shade, 2 water containers going, have been giving them watermelon as a treat. What have you been doing?

Yeh same it's been a few weeks since I got mine and they just have 1 water container but I got an old 4wd awning that I can pull out and put over there pen when it's really sunny and hot , their water and feed is in pen also, the run they have is covered with plants sonthey getblenty of shade there, how big do cut up the bits of water melon to give as treats?? I have just been giving them very scraps ATM and potato pealing etc

I just give them a quarter of the whole Watermelon and they just peck at it. They absolutely love it. Its gone in no time.
I put updates on my flock journey every day if you want to follow and chat on their with me and the people that follow my journey they will be able to help with cool treat ideas too.
Do you free range?

Oh goodstuff that would b good I will try the watermelon , always looking for good treat ideas. I'm pretty new to this here and I'm not really sure how to navigate myself around lol but I should b able work it out, is ur flock just ur profile page thing?
