(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I have been raising chickens for about 10 years. I now raise chickens, muscovy ducks, and peafowl.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I only have about 7 chickens right now thanks to the neighbors dog. About 15ish muscovies. And around 30 peas including my 9 new chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have? chickens are a Polish silkie mix. Don't know much about breeds because we just raise whatever we get and whatever hatches for the fun of having them.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? watching their personalities develop from chicks up.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? with this many birds who has time for other hobbies
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I a recently widowed with a small farm. Along with the birds we have horses, 2 baby goats and lots of people.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have been using BYC for many years to research all my bird related questions it has been very helpful
