(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We've had chickens two years. BYC helped us get started by explaining things.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
six.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Golden Comet (favorite), Black Australorp, Brown Barnevelder, Silver laced Wyandotte.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
makes my mother very very happy to tend chickens. They are verrry spoiled.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Ministry, work, gardening, community service, animal training, human society neo-natal kitten foster

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a Christian first and devote much of my time to serving. Other: Cop, mother, daughter, sister, garden enthusiast. Loveeee cats but also love to train anything with fur.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D I did research before starting our coop about breeds, vet needs, and habitats. A lot of my research found your articles. I had a question that wasn't answered already in a thread, so I wanted to post.

Also, my untrained for chickens Sibe walked past a loose chicken and did not eat her yesterday! Have been planning a content about whether Sibes can be trained for chickens and how-to. Yes, I know the how-to, just not sure of the time devotion or risk of accidents since my 85 YOA mother loves these birds.

Message from my dog: Buuut they're soo fluffy!!
