Is chicken lice contagious to people?

nope, chicken (and wild bird) lice are a different species than the ones that use humans as a host.

Human lice can only infect humans, chicken lice can only infect chickens, cat lice can only infect cats, dog lice can only infect dogs, and so on with each warm blooded species. However, it doesnt mean that any of the other species specific lice cant bite you. They just cant live on and off of you
