Is it normal for my silkie to be laying an egg every day ?

I'm not complaining or anything at all, the more eggs the better ! But I thought silkies only lay like an egg every few days or like one a week. My silkie is not full bred however. Her first egg was like a tinted white/ cream egg, which she laid about 2 weeks ago. But she only laid that egg once and since then has been laying a brown egg every single day! Is she laying so many eggs because she is a mix breed?

I wish mine layed so many! Post a picture of the chicken and we'll be able to tell what it is much more easily.

My Silkies are pretty good layers. Some better than others, but most will lay for 3 or 4 days, take a day off and be right back at it. What yours is mixed with probably has something to do with it. All of the Silkie mixes I've ever owned have been great littlest layers

I have. a silkie that will lay everyday for 15 days then stop for a month or two then go again except this time she layed her normal 15 stopped for 2 weeks and now she laying again also after every time she finished laying she goes broody for 5 days lol and gets mean but she don't have her eggs so she's just sitting in her nest she's crazy but so sweet

Fluffles has laid an egg every day this week! The noise she makes is unbelievable, does it get quieter as the grow?

I have five silkies. Three started laying about a month ago and I have been getting three eggs every day. The fridge is full and they taste beautiful.
