Is it safe for chickens to eat frogs?

Chickens eat many things. They will eat almost anything they can catch. Here that has included: black snake, vole, mice, grasshoppers, my small dog's raw meat meal. I haven't seen it yet, but the sheer numbers of chipmunks we have would dictate that they probably have had some of those, too.

They gang up on these things and tear them apart like a school of piranha. If they want to eat it, I let them have it.

!!! The cool thing about Chickens is they are pretty smart about what in their natural environment that they can eat and that they should avoid. Smart little critters :) I have seen my girls chase down snakes, lizards, field mice, even little birds that dared try to steal some of the chickens BOSS from their run...:)

Like said above they are Omnivores so meat is OK for them and they will seek it out :)

Glad I found this because I was freaking out a bit lol. My chickens ate a rather large frog this morning and I did not know if it was safe or not. I was powerless to stop it so I am glad that it is okay.
