Is it usual for two ducks to share a clutch of eggs?

I have a mother and daughter who have laid in the same place, and now BOTH are setting on the nest. Throughout the day they will take turns getting up, and then both stay on it all night. The daughter was setting on a nest in June, but it was too hot and all of the eggs cooked. I guess she wanted in on the action! LOL. What happens when the babies hatch? Are they going to share them or fight over them?

Here's a picture. The mom is the darker one on top. They are Rouen X Blue Swede.

Before I went out and "disturbed" them to take a picture, the mom was literally half setting on the daughter! LOL. I thought one momma was mad when you disturbed her, two are worse!

Well I had to Swede girls sharing 1 nest and 2 runner girls sharing a nest. The Swedes gave up and gave (moved) the nest and eggs to the runners. Only 1 of the eggs hatched so far. The rest of the swedes eggs weren't fertile I guess. We found the duckling wandering around the coop last week and decided to bring it inside and put in brooder with the 2 chicks and 2 keets we have in there as it was getting trampled by the big ducks. So, I can't answer if they will share the duties as momma or not, but looks like nest sharing isn't uncommon.

I've had two ducks share a nest then, after the ducklings hatched, basically divided them up into seperate clutches to raise. The ducklings looked so much alike I couldn't tell if they all stayed with their chosen mommy or if they intermingled between the two.

I've never had good luck, I had a muscovy and 2 runners sitting on ONE egg this year, they gave up a week before hatch

recently I had my blue swed Sage and Maude my pekin share a nest, when Sages babies started to hatch, Maude became upset and little possessive, ended up squishing one, and tore the other up so badly that it died a few hours later, i ended up taking the third baby away and he's now almost two weeks old.
