Hiiiii! Soooo I was wondering if y’all think my chickens comb looks healthy? I just want to make sure because I thought it might have a purplish tint to it! It’s my Easter egger and she is around 12 1/2 weeks old. Thank yall!

The picture is a little out of focus and not clear. Could you take another clear one from the side? Is it very cold where you live, or has she been pecked? Is she laying yet or has she been molting?

It’s cold right now but Florida weather is unpredictable lol! She hasn’t been pecked from what I’ve seen and she she doesn’t lay yet, I didn’t think they did molt this young but I am new to chickens!

They can have mini molts, but I didn’t see that she was 12 1/2 weeks in your first post. It may just be some dry skin as on her face. She is a little too young to have a bright red I wouldn’t worry about it. comb, but it may pink up in the early spring. My EE’s tended to have slightly paler combs that my other birds. Then also the shorter daylight hours in winter can affect the color once they are mature.
