Is this a hen?

Hi, I have one more chick that I’m not sure about. Is this a hen or roo? So far we already have 2 roos

Age? Looks like a pullet to me!

How old? The hackles look awful wispy but I can't see the saddles clearly.

Do you know the breed?

It looks female to me.

That color pattern looks female-specific (like in Welsummers, Brown Leghorns, Red Jungle Fowl, Black Breasted Red color of any breed.)

Also the comb looks small and pale.

Of course I can think of exceptions to both of those points, but I think the chicken is probably female.

Looks like a pullet to me. As said above, that's a female feather pattern.

Yep, I’d say pullet. At that age the comb would be much redder.

At 12 weeks, I'm pretty sure that's a pullet.
Males would normally have a much redder comb by that age.
