Well, I guess Gretl is now Gary! How did you identify? What do I look for?

sharp thin hackles and male saddles. Do you know his age? Usually cockerels look nothing like pullets even if they are the same age.

His feathers are pointed then curled a bit at the backside, & he carries himself in a different posture.

He has male specific saddle and hackle feathers, and red leakage over the wing bows.
