Found this white stuff outside my coop this morning, in several places. Lines of white stuff... and from what I can see online, hawks shoot their poop out in a projectile line. But I couldn't find any pics of what it looks like on the ground.

If it is, is there anything I can do to keep them away? I have two Great Pyrenees on patrol.

I thought my pyrs did too. They killed a possum last week.

The white stuff is on some metal too, so I don't think it's fungus. It wasn't there last night but it was this morning.

OK---you can see it better there than I can in the pic----what was throwing me is it appears to be wrapped all the way around the twigs----and not on twigs between the white spots. If it was "shot" out It should be just mainly on one side(I was thinking)---not all the way around.

My GP chases the big birds a lot---as far as she can go---jumping up and barking as they fly over her 1 1/2 acre fenced in area.

If it *is* hawk or owl poop (I'm not sure either) no, you can't stop hawks and owls from living where they live. It sounds like what you have done with your dogs is your best bet. What I do is I have netting over my runs. I don't free-range, and my chickens are locked up at night. That works for me, and I know lots of people here use guard dogs with a high degree of success. So even though you can't make hawks and owls not live there, you do have some options and it sounds to me like you will be OK.

There tons of different molds and fungi laying around dormant just waiting for conditions to become favorable, then they grow in a matter of hours.
