How old are your chickens? They usually don’t molt till 18 months so maybe first molt

Audrey was born around 5-7-17 so she is most likely molting and there are some feathers off near her vent, but mostly on her belly and neck on the sides

Just remember those pin feathers hurt the bird when you touch them. Please don’t pick them up any more than what’s is absolutely needed.

Hard molt can be shocking sometimes. There is a pretty broad range of normal, and it can vary year to year and from bird to bird. This link might be helpful, lots of pictures of hard molt:

Molting occurs first about 16-18 months old and yearly thereafter. Some chickens can molt without much notice, other than loss of their tail feathers while some lose feathers in huge patches. There is actually a BYC contest every year on the best moting pictures:

I'm glad your chickens are okay Molting can be pretty scary, but once you know what to expect you'll get used to it.
