I'd rather be bad-mouthed by some stranger on craigslist than live to regret getting rid of the rooster that I have become attached to. Especially if he is that nice and friendly. Nice roosters can be hard to come by! LOL
I say you should keep him. Tell her the truth though. All you have to do is say you changed your mind and decided not to sell. No need to go into details. She may be very understanding. And, if not, so what. Craigslist is pretty anoymous. If you contacted her offline, then it's not like you advertised and then took back your ad. And, even then, so what? No money changed hands. But, let her know ASAP so she doesn't continue to count on getting your roo.
Hi Lisa- I wouldnt do it. Tell her the truth, and maybe tell her that you could give her one of his offspring. Or give her the # to someone else who has another B.O. roo. The $15 is a good price, but I don't think it is worth loosing such a nice friendly rooser. You have a gem! Not everyone gets them! It will work out~ Tacey
it's this easy. if you question yourself then don't do it. end of story. you have the right to not sell something. he's yours until you sell. she may be disappointed but that is the way things go. it's not like you changed your mind in the middle of donating a kidney or something. it's a chicken. a chicken.
I think offering her one of the offspring or perhaps one of the mean roos is a choice. Of course, tell her they are mean! If you are honest with the lady, if she is reasonable, she will understand. If she is not, do you really want her to have your roo?
