I've got an Easter egg hen laying light peach/pink eggs.

Ok here's a dumb question.
I thought Ameraucanas and Aracaunas were nicknamed EE's due to the color off their eggs. But I keep seeing EE's mentioned as though they are a specific breed.
Anyone?

Ameraucanas only lay light blue eggs, the Easter Egger chicken lays all different colors. The Easter egger, mine anyway came from Meyers Hatchery and they use the Ameraucana Rooster with various breeds of hens. So you get all different colors of eggs and not just blue. Mine all look half ameraucan. You can see that breed in them. So if you want fun eggs get the Easter Egger.

greenish/brown...? Do you mean OLIVE ? Some people breed specifically for that.

Thats so exciting. You must share pictures with us when they are hatched and then as they grow and yet again when they are big girls and then i wanna see those eggs !

My EE's lay different colors of green and blue. I also have one that lays a pink egg. As far as the guy that killed his chickens because they didnt lay the perfect color of egg...gee wiz, hope your children all come out with the perfect eye and hair color!!

Here are my girls eggs, the light brown one is from my SLW.

Sometimes her egg is very very pink, other times its a lighter pink. I love them all.

Those are beautiful I can't wait to see the colors mine produce!!
