Ivermectin and scaly leg mites. Help!

Cats are very sensitive to permethrin. Once it is dry, it is fairly safe for the chickens. I have sprayed my coops over the years with permethrin 0.5%, and it lasts about 30 days. My cats wonder around the run, and have never had any problems. You should not use it if you raise bees nearby.

I know theres some issues or controversy on ivermectin but Im at my whits end with these scaly leg mites. One 3 year old buffy now has feet so bad they are an issues for her to get around and rubbing jelly isnt working. What is the egg withdrawl of ivermectin and is it safe for us to eat the eggs? How do I clean the coop and chicken yard to prevent further? Does anyone use anything else with success? And if Ivermectin is the way, how much and what kind? I have a local tractor supply.
Thank you!
I use ivermectin for horses like you buy the paste from farm n fleet or any of your local farm stores. I put a dime size on my finger and put it in there beaks. It works. this is the second yr I have used it. I also use elector psp I spray it all under there wings , neck, legs and butt. I use it and reapply in a week or two. It has always worked and also scrub the roost with the psp. you can spray it around the edges of the coop where they sleep. It is very expensive but I did find a company that sells 2 oz which is perfect for like over a gallon of mixture. Expensive but it works amazing.

The only reason Ivermectin is controversial is that it's a patented Japanese product. The US pharma companies can't copy it or make money off it (aside from licensing and reselling it). It's a great drug with many applications.
