Hi everyone,
Has anyone ever figured out the ivermectin (1% injectable) dose in drops (roughly)?
I was only able to get a 3ml syringe and measuring out 0.08ml
Seems impossible. I was hoping to administer the dose with the help of a piece of bread, one chicken at a time.
Thanks for your help

The last time I did it, one drop equals about 0.02 ml.

The dose I use is 1 mg/kg

1 / 2.2 x 1 / 10 = ~0.045 ml per pound

Five pounds:
5 / 2.2 x 1 / 10 = ~0.23 ml per five pounds

Have you given 0.23ml without any ill effects?
The few things I found online about dosing were 0.02 - 0.04 per kg for the injectable.
I just want to make sure I'm not overdosing, jet giving enough for it to work.
Thank you for your help

Yes, I've given it at that dose many times.

You may want to ask a pharmacy if you can have a couple of 1 ml syringes without a needle for giving small doses of medicine to pets and infants. Those make it easier to calculate those small dosages. I have gotten a few free for asking.

I did. Went to 2 pharmacies after I had no luck at Tractor Supply. Smallest one they could give me was 3ml. Ended up measuring by drops. (Administered on a piece of bread)
