My my. Where to begin. Well I guess I will start with the grandparents. My Mammaw and Papaw Jackson began this farm in the 1950's. They had 4 children and began a journey they could look back on and call success. They were born and raised poor in 1931. Just in the midst of the depression. But back to the farm.....
We are a small family farm in Tennessee. We've always been farmers in both sides of the family. We grow corn, tomatoes, eggplant, pepper, squash varieties, apples, and onions. Pumpkins, watermelon, and the backyard garden are also considered, I guess. We grow our own hay that we sell and feed to our beef livestock. Also have several family milk cows that I tend to. They are Jerseys. Most of which are pregnant. We have a donkey for coyote purposes and two goats which are his best friends. 60 or so chickens(of course), 5 ducks, 3 turkeys, 2 dogs, and 3 barn cats that come and go as they please. My Mammaw is 83 years old this July and still plants, hoes, picks, weeds, ties, tames, sprays, fertilizes, and waters her bean crops and backyard garden. My Papaw, the farm's [starter], has been with The Lord since 2004, but still remains on the farm in blood and hearts. So, there you have it, the Jackson Family Farm! God Bless.
