Wonderful! Looking forward to pictures! I love the mottled ones best, blacks are pretty to, but like the colorful mottleds. I hope more people get into breeding them! They are mottled. I can't wait. My daughter is so excited. We are thrilled to be apart of this new journey. We have done a lot of research and are looking forward to helping this breed become more recognized. Excitement is in the air. Will post pics when they start coming out of the shell. Stay tuned.

I have not gone through the ALBC breeders book, but I do have the SPPA book here handy. Thanks for the info. I did check and engteacher is from MN. Sigh*. I'm having a heck of a time finding anyone nearby. There is no one from NH in the Java directory that I could find. I decided to pick up some Spitzhaubens since there are no Javas that I could find in stock anywhere either. From what I have read, the Spitzhaubens have a similar personality to the Java so I'm excited to see if they are as friendly and chatty as the Java. If anyone hears of any Javas available in NH could you drop me a line? Thanks!!!
looking forward to pictures!!I have 4 hatched so far. They are so sweet. They are also very quiet. They don't chirp very loud. My other chicks I've hatched I could hear over my tv while they were still in the egg. These little guys don't chirp too much while in the shell. I can't wait to see how many more hatch. 10 more to go. I will try and get pics this afternoon to post.
It's a sad day. I had to cull 2 of my chicks due to deformities. They couldn't walk. Their feet were turned in on themselves and their toes were stuck together. That makes a total of 4 live healthy chicks. 8 more in the incubator. I hope they hatch. I will try to get some pics if them up real soon.
