Just wondering if it would make it more monstery. Do we have any descriptions of the JD from sightings?

I think we're on to something! Maybe throw a Silkie in there for the fur!

Idk if that's even a thing and I know nothing about chicken genetics but that was my first thought

Right?! I was thinking like, the "plumes" on the roo's tail (the longer feathers. I really am so bad at chicken terms ), if over time you select ones whose long feathers are far apart so they look forked. Best doodle I can do of what I see in my head:

So I have a Sumatra roo which is black, he's not the biggest bird around, should only be about 5 lbs, but he does have a long tail.

Also I think it's safe to say we'll probably have a couple different varieties within an SOP for the JD.

One could be clean legged, another feathered or fury.
