I know that's why I'm drawn to them, but they are very messy.

Messy doesn't even begin to describe then, my older 2 spill their water all the time and turn their tank into a swamp ... I can't wait for them to go outside! They want to run and flap their wings.. this rain needs to go away already

I want ducks so bad, but I'm waiting for the perfect breed. I saw chocolate runner ducks and instantly wanted them, but they're not available. Thinking it'll be next year when I get some!
