Bowling Green here too, out near HadleyGood morning! Checking in from Bowling Green! Anyone else close?
I think its a wonderful idea, just don't know how you would go about it. I'm technologically ignorant, but bet it would have to be on social media somehow. Afraid its going to be like the covid years, everyone grabbing up chickens without a clue how to take care of them, or how expensive it can get. For some it worked out, for many not so much.Hey Ya'll. I want to help people that are thinking of getting chickens. Like a basic keeping 101 coop tour type of thing. I think I could help them decide if they A: REALLY want chickens B: show them the housing requirements C: Let them be close to a real live chicken.
That might seem silly to us experienced chicken keepers but before I got mine I had never even touched a chicken before. This site was and has been a God send for me.
If I could help people get off to a good start it will help them AND their future flock.
How do you think I could go about this?

Yes, its now middle of March, and all of the farm stores sell out as soon as they put them out. The stores wont even tell you now when they get their shipments.Anyone else having problems getting new chicks? Stockdales sold out 1st day of chick days. Going to try again later this week.
I got mine finally. Stockdales in bowling green gets their shipment in on thursdays. They pick them up at the post office at 8:30 am, and on the floor at 10:00. I had to be in line at 7:30 in the morning to be 3rd in line. They have a 6 chick minimum, and added a 12 chick maximum to make sure the first people there did not buy them out anymore. Took me 4 weeks of being in line every Thursday to get mine, so really glad they added that maximum so others can get theirs. Tractor supply gets theirs in on Fridays, on the floor for sale at 1:00. Hopefully you have the same stores in your town, and this info applies and helps.Yes, its now middle of March, and all of the farm stores sell out as soon as they put them out.
