Really? I don't think those antique ones operate on the same principle as mine though. Those ones are water based but mine is sand based. I can guide you to build this my model if you are in need of it.

The old kerosene ones use the hear from a small kerosene lamp. The heat goes up into a channel and circulates around the eggs. There is a little thermostat that opens a vent if it gets too hot. The Amish and Mennonite commonly used them.
