Hey everyone, I know someone’s probably posted something like this before. My khaki Campbell is not bearing weight on leg/foot. I hadn’t noticed anything before today, but I also didn’t really pay attention. Or at least nothing stood out. This morning my family and I were opening their coop to change out their pool water, and we left the gate open so they could roam around the coop for a bit. She walked out with my other two Rouens and again, didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. As they continued to walk around almost immediately after she exited the coop she started limping. I picked her and my husband checked for a goathead or anything in her web and nothing. She’s been laying down mostly toward her good side keeping her foot/leg tucked in tightly. If she stands she’s standing on one foot. She’s usually in the water or walking around with the other ducks in the coop and she’s inside the coop, solo ducking it. I’ll post some photos/videos of her- one of them I am merely posting because I can’t tell if she’s crying. Everytime she would lie down if a chick merely walked near her she would peck at them out of defense. I am not sure if there’s anything I can do outside of a vet and or if I should separate her into her own area inside for a bit?
The gate that she exited has no sudden drop or any fencing sticking out or anything of that sort. It’s a 2x4 buried into the ground and shavings.
* I guess I can’t upload videos
