I just wanted to say I read a lot of negative post about technical support for the Ladies First Coop Door. This is what my experience has been with the company and it’s owner Matt. It’s been 100% positive and here’s my story. I bought my Ladies First Coop door about a year ago and it’s been trouble free until a squirrel chewed my solar panel wire in to pieces. I tried to splice it back together again but for whatever reason it didn’t work. I send Matt the owner of the company a email and asked for help. He responded promptly and asked some questions. I told him what I did and also did what he asked me to do. Not having any knowledge of electronics I asked him if he could give me a call and he said yes but it would be tomorrow. Like he said he would he called me and after some test he walked me through and a few pictures back and forth he found the problem for me and is sending me the part to repair it. All that took about 45 minutes of his time which he didn’t have to do anything like that because the door was long out of warranty. Let me say I’ve never had customer service like that before. I’ve been very pleased with the way he has helped me. Do I know Matt? No and have never seen or talked to him. If anyone has any questions about my experience with him I can be found on Facebook. Just PM me and I’ll tell you what I can about Matt, the company and or the door.

Sorry folks but the name of the door is Ladies First Chicken Door. That’s the name of the door you will search for to order this door. Sorry for the mistake.

I just put my Ladies First door on today, works well. My ladies are only 10 weeks old so the only bird to use it an Australorp. Hopefully the rest of the flock will get the idea and start using it before the snow starts to fly.

I've had my Ladies First Chicken Door about 6 months and I love it. The first night after installation I didn't see the blinking green light signaling the door was closed. I went out to find out what went wrong.
One cockerel decided to roost in the doorway and the door came down on him. I had tested the safety sensor, so I knew the door had cycled a couple times to let that stupid roo get out of the way, but he never moved until I showed up and pushed him through the door. The door closed and my green light started blinking.
That was all the learning curve my birds needed. After that, even that dumb rooster got the hang of it.
