Lame duck

Thank you! Is there something I can give her with niacin. I will get her duck specific tomorrow
The liquid b complex has the highest niacin levels

You give 1 ml per day over a treat like meal worms and watch that she eats it all. Otherwise you can give it directly orally, but you have to be very careful not to aspirate the duck. There are instructions in this link on how to give it orally.

If you decide to go the route of human niacin capsules opened and sprinkled on the feed the only kind that will work is the niacin that is not time released and not flush free
You can also get nutritional yeast and add 1 tablespoon to every one cup of duck feed that will help keep the legs healthy, but in a situation like yours, you need the strong dosage of the liquid b complex for probably several weeks until you may see improvement

My ducks hate the taste of poultry cell vitamins in the water and they avoid drinking it and they drink from their pool instead. Have you seen her drinking the vitamin water at all?
When I have a duck that needs the poultry cell vitamins I give it directly with syringe the same way as the liquid b complex, always being very careful not to aspirate the duck, using a syringe with no needle on it and following the instructions from the link I gave you earlier. But if your duck is drinking it mixed in the water that’s great. 😃 she will still also need the niacin.

The vitamins you have been giving her are the right ones for this.
For niacin deficiency the poultry cell only supplies 1/30 of 52 mg niacinamide. (it has 52 mg/ fluid ounce and a fluid ounce is equal to approximately 30 ML.)
But the liquid b complex has 100 mg per ml. That’s 60x more. That’s why it works so much better and faster for niacin deficiency, and it’s recommended.
