Larkwell Valley (2023)

This is the second time since he went into retirement that Wes has taken in babies that definitely aren't his (been in retirement, aka separate from ALL females, for almost 2 years now). He's always been a great dad though. Ever since I brought him home
Love this.

My last rooster tried to kill his own chicks. The chick I found unconscious and kept is now showing signs of becoming a good roo (5+ months old).

ALL the tiny duckies! :D
I quite like how easy it is to hold these little calls. Even when they're kicking, I can hold them comfortably. I adore my scovies, but I know if I needed to catch Moose Moose, he'd drag me all over the yard without much effort, let alone let me just pick him up.

Agreed! I had to catch one of the pastels yesterday to put her in the coop, and it was so easy to just hold her in one hand and cradle her to me. Ain't doing that with a full grown scovie drake!

I think I'm going to post my Swedish before winter and just see if I have anyone interested before spring. It would be 4 or 5 less mouths to feed if I got them sold too.... and then I'd have that pen all ready to go come spring
