I have a silkie that is acting normal but had very poopy vent feathers so fearing fly strike I brought her inside and washed her off only to uncover this…?

The skin around the red part is hard and as shown in the video it’s leaking clear liquid.
She’s audibly straining to poop.

This bird is about a year old and on layer feed. As of now she’s acting normal and eating.

What’s going on and can this be fixed?

I am so sorry your bird is having vent issues. I am going to tag some educators for help, but in the meantime, does this hen lay eggs? If so when was the last one? Do you have some ointment such as neosporin without pain relief? If possible could you get some close up, clear pics of the vent?

Leaking clear liquid while noticeably trying to push something out of the vent points to egg binding. Pop a calcium tablet into her beak right now. It will stimulate contractions to expel the obstruction. I usually see resolution in an hour or less.

If the clear liquid smells unusual, acrid and strong, this is further evidence of egg binding.

I agree with giving her extra Calcium, she may be struggling to expel an egg.

It also looks like at some point she has suffered prolapse and/or damage to the vent. With the tissue being hard it may have been like this for a couple of days, hard to know.
I'd try to keep the tissue (and hard edges) coated with ointment, oil, honey, etc. Hopefully this will help soften it up. She has some buildup just inside the vent, this is often seen when there's damage/prolapse. All you can do is keep the ointment on it and hopefully it will slough off over the course of healing in a few weeks.
