First I have no interest in cock fighting. I want a large tall variety for visual appeal and to make hawks think twice. Also it might be fun trying to cross these relatively extreme genetics with the Bresse and Barbezieux I have started. I am worried that these breeds may be too aggressive to comingle at all with egg layers etc., even hens. Input from anyone who has worked with one or both breeds would be highly appreciated.

I think @Pyxis has the Leige Fighters

I had a small flock; I ended up selling them. But while I did have them, they were perfectly fine with the other birds.

That is encouraging to hear. Now if i find out that Indio Gigante are incredibly mean my decision will be easy.

We got really close to purchasing the Indio Gigante, but we backed out. I am scared they can't fly, and that would be a death sentence on my spot. I don't want to spend that kind of money on an experiment of which I believe failure is imminent.
What I am saying in short is I need you to purchase some and let me know how it goes..

I have 2 Liege eggs ready to hatch this weekend. Hopefully they will be reasonably peacefull. I don't think they can fly very well when mature either. Curious as to your predators that flying is absolutely necessary.

As big as the liege are, the occasional fox and coon are still serious business. All of my chickens are free range except the occasional broody hen that I feel ain't safe. The liege don't fly well, but they can still roost 20ft up with no issues.

Had to look up Indio Gigante to find out what they were. Looks like they are what the feather peddlers are calling Brazillian Shamos these days. Don't know about Liege, they look like my Thai/barnyard crosses. Brazilian Shamo hens don't get along with others they were not raised with or have been separated from. It would depend on what got crossed up on the Brazilian to make them lay enough eggs for peddling under the fancy name as to how they act.
