Hi there. I have had the standard red laying hens for the past 5 years now and wanted to do something different. So this year we actually incubated 2 batches of fertilized eggs. We have 3 black chanteclercs chicks that are 12 weeks old and 7 black chanteclercs chicks that are 8 weeks old. I think there are some chicks that are obviously roosters but would like to know how early you can identify the males from the females.
