During the coldsnap and recent snow laden branches, my ducks and geese have discovered lilac seed pods. I've researched they are non toxic to people and animals but does anyone know the nutritional value for waterfowl?
I trimmed a few branches and they turned into hours of entertainment. First happy noise eating of the pods, then nibbling on the bare branches (for the bark?) So, could lilac branches be a safe everyday thing or should they fall into the once a week treat category?
