Hey there! I'm looking to buy either some Canada goose hatching eggs or gosling's that come with the proper paperwork to verify that they are domestic bred. Anyone know where I can look? Have been all over the place and can't find a single breeder or seller.

If you have wild Canada geese around, lots of times babies get left that are too weak. That's how I got mine. He is purely domestic now. I did not take him from the wild. I watched and he was very very weak with fluid in his lungs, but he ended up making it and I'm sitting with him right now

Unfortunately, regardless of whether they are rescues or not, it's illegal to take a gosling hatched from a wild goose, I don't want to be fined, or have to worry about it being seized which is what would happen if authorities found out I had one unregistered. :( I'm looking for a breeder who can provide the proper paperwork, but thank you for the recommendation!!! Be careful out there!

Ahhh. Well I have the proper permits, I guess it depends on state? Well good luck finding one!

Hi there, I too took on a canada gosling that was abandoned and weak. I posted a story of my journey with my friend who has decided to reside here and my post was taken down ): He's a great friend and roams freely here on the river I live on. I do not keep him against his will and he is never locked up at night since he has matured.
