Hi! I'm looking at a possible house to move to in St Cloud, MN. The house doesn't have appropriate fencing for me to look into chickens right away, but I'd like to have them again someday - can anyone tell me if it's legal there?

According to a brief Google search, you can only have chickens if your property is zoned agricultural or rural residential. But you can't have more than 6 animals all together. But do ask your state thread, a surface search isn't much.

Hi, Alex Cutchey here, candidate for St. Cloud City Council. I wanted to note that I was at City Council on Monday, 8/5/24, arguing for Backyard Chickens. Backyard chickens are now on the City Council planning committee agenda, to be brought up on 8/15 to consider allowing urban backyard chickens. (Remember to vote on August 13th)! http://sws.stcloudcity.com/agenda/agendaindex.asp?agtype=PlanC
