Totally agree!, I’ve been around ostriches and they are definitely dangerous if you are not prepared. I could understand that emus are still big animals and could hurt you which is okay. Im okay with that. We currently have no children and no one else that would be handling them. My husband and I both have come to terms that we will be working with large animals and we are okay with that!. I appreciate you proving the point of “it could kill you” as more of something to potentially scare people when truly.. yes it could but there has not really been anything about a emu killing someoneAn aspect of this, ChickenTumble, is the nature of the Net. You see headlines like 'Emu Killed My Family (and burned our house to the ground),' but when you look at the Youtube, it's cheeky safari-park emus stealing someone's chips.
Now, Ostriches truly are ornery -- not to mention huge -- and cassowaries are indeed very serious characters. So, okay.
But phrases like 'if you're not prepared' suggest that hobby-farm emus are plotting to eviscerate you, which is nonsense.
