Here is "Watching Cabbage Grow".

Does anyone else have chickens who love cabbage? I have sometimes put one on a rope in their yard for them to nibble...they LOVE it...and when I let them free range, they have tried to eat mine. 🤣

Remember the expression, "Watching paint dry"? Here is the the chicken equivalent---"Watching Cabbage Grow." This is 8 out of 10 in this series.

I have never offered them cabbage, but now I know how much your chickens like it, I will!

Maybe I am over cautious, but I never give whole leaves or large pieces...only tiny bite sized pieces or giving a whole head for them to peck off bite size pieces is fine.

Just like I never give long strands of grass but rather little snips. When a chicken eats grass, since the grass is attached they are only eating what they snip off. Otherwise they slurp down a long piece and might get an impacted crop.
