Thank you. They are very well taken care of. They live inside for now they have their own room and their cage gets cleaned twice a day. Lol I love my duckling she has made her self into a chicken tho... barely ever going into her swimming dish is this normal?

Hi, Amber. How old are they?

When they are at least 5 weeks old try posting individual photos of them. Often we can get a good idea by 5 weeks of age. What I'd like to see is a close-up of each individual head followed with a shot showing the legs and profile. So two photos per bird.

On the head I'll look at the comb and see if it has any wattles. If a 5-week-old chick has wattles it is probably a boy. A male's comb and wattles are likely to be red while a female's are more likely pink or yellow. A male generally has heavier thicker legs and a more upright posture.

Some chicks may show these signs earlier, some may wait a few more weeks for these to be evident but often by 5 weeks we have an idea.

So cute! They are too young to tell, but watching their body language and the way they interact is a great way to predict which ones will be male and female. In my experience, the males are typically louder, more rambunctious, and get in more "fights" than the hens, but that is very general,
