Making grapevine cuttings?

I was looking at some of the grape plants at Lowes and saw this one. Can I make cuttings from this? I know, I'm being cheap.
I circled the parts I think could be cut...3 nodes.
 
The top one appears to be a better candidate but you might get both to root... Personally I would plant it as is and take cutting later in the fall or next spring...

Also you might want to shop around, if you spend a few bucks more you can generally find much more established plants... Even the grape vines at my local Home Depot put Walmart's to shame and they are only a buck or two more...

The little bit of reading I've done on grape vines recommends not pruning them at all during the first year. I'd recommend that you let it grow for a year. Then, when it needs to be pruned, you can easily propagate as many as you want. IMO, to prune a brand new plant would set it back and you may be disappointed in the results.... But... I've not grown grapes yet! I have a couple of vines that I stuck in the ground late last fall. One of them is just now starting to show some life.
