Male duck trying to mate me😩

So my male pekin is coming up on 4 months old and he is obsessed with trying to mate with me! He has females but he’s not interested? it’s getting to the point where I’m covered in bruises from him and don’t know how to make him stop! I thought he wanted a lovely cuddle last night and to my horror something decided to “pop out”
Send help please!

Oof.. I would just lock him up for a bit whenever he tries, and hope he gets the message after awhile, not sure what else you could do maybe when he tries mating you just put him in a little pen with one or 2 girls to kinda try and redirect him to them.

Sorry male ducks are a holes and will try to rape anything. Do they have a kiddie pool? That can encourage them to mate each other.

you’re telling me! None of limbs are safe atm yesss! They swim together all the time but just goes mad whenever he sees me! He did imprint on me unfortunately when he hatched as he was the only one in his batch to make it to hatching so it was just me and him for 2/3 weeks! I’m thinking that’s maybe the problem?

My favorite male mallard is covering me with bite marks trying to mate. Im not really into it, Any ideas.

I don’t really have any duck experience, but would giving him a little kick do anything?

Ive been kicking him progressively harder and harder. Its like he is biologically programed to die trying. I really dont like kicking ducks

Sounds like he might be imprinted on you, is he?
I have a female imprinted duck that attacks me when she goes broody, I have had good luck with just immediately locking her in a coop alone as soon as the behavior happens, and leaving her in there for 30 minutes or so. If she comes out and does it again, 30 more minutes. I'd try something similar if I was you. I recently started locking her in a stack of clear totes so she can see me giving treats to the other ducks while she is in jail. Don't kick him hard that will not help, especially if he is imprinted.
