Did you pay through PayPal or just through eBay with a card? If you went through PayPal, they'll refund you no problems. I think you just have to send in a request and probably a photo.

I sell on eBay, and I have made honest mistakes before. Hopefully it was a mistake and not intentional scam. eBay customer service can be hard to get a hold of, but they will almost certainly refund you. And if not, PayPal will.

Luckily EBay seems to value the customer more than the seller from what I've seen, so odds of one of the two services helping ypubare pretty good

Yes, that's true.
I have a so-called "top seller" rating from eBay itself, and they have treated me very well whenever I have an issue with a customer.

Update: The seller claims these are the correct eggs and is insistent they are mandarin duck eggs. I’ve got a refund pending but they’ll probably decline so I’ll have to take it to eBay. Her insistence is making me a little hesitant, but I’ve literally never seen mandarin duck eggs this color.

Ugh, that's so frustrating. I'm so sorry Those are totally not Mandarin eggs, a google search can prove that. Thosr look like my Red Star's eggs
