Hope this is the right place to post. New to raising chickens. Bought 5000 Meal Worms about a month ago and seems like everything was going good. Saw may of the meal worms going to the Pupa stage and got about 15 beetles so far. But what I am seeing now is all the new Pupa are dying. Look in there and they are all stiff as a board. I have plenty of carrots. Did have a hot spell for a couple of days and I have them in the garage. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Bob

Pupae are stiff, they don't move much so they look like they are dead. If they are dead, they turn dark. If they are still white/yellow color, they are alive. I bought 1000 mealworms a month ago and now I have a bunch of new beetles already. At 5000, you will have tons of beetles. I also keep my mealworms in the garage, as long as it doesn't get too hot, it should be fine.
