Will our kind of triple antibiotic ointment work for tonight? How old is it? When I get baby chicks in the mail, I pick each one up like a dart and poke its little beak in sugar water (1 tsp sugar to 1 c warm water), but I figure they are stressed from travel. Yours may be suffering from shock so sugar water may be a good idea until it starts drinking on its own. Then, when its beak is wet, same technique, dip it in the chick crumbles. They usually start eating and drinking right away after that. They don't really need to eat and drink until Day Three, as the absorbed yolk will keep them going until then. You can do this! Just don't let those injured tissues dry out.
