I'm kind of really thrown for a loop here. I was going this afternoon to potentially buy a few new breeders for my meat rabbits. Localish, not quite the breeds or colors I was looking for, but available. It's been about a week of back and forth to get a time set due to conflicting schedules. Happens. I was looking at some flemish/Californias and some white NZs.
Well I verified we were still on for today, and he hits me with, by the way the bunnies are $60. Forgot to mention that. . .

Yes ea. No pedigree. But the parents are papered.
I don't care if the parents are purebred. You don't sell mixed 8wk kits for show rabbit prices! The litters to pick from were tiny too! Meaning chances are his maternal lines suck.
I've bought Proven does for $40. I would only consider 60 for a kit, if it's a rare breed and from a good line!
Sorry that just ticked me off. The market might be a little slim pickings around here but I can still find a pedigree breeding Trio, unrelated, for $120 within a 2 hr drive.
