We are home safe. We watched snow most of the morning but it stopped by the time we left in the early afternoon. Dry pavement part of the way, less than half the way I think but I slept through most of the last four hours. We would really have preferred dry pavement all the way so we knew there wasn't black ice but we didn't have trouble. We saw (well, I saw) only one vehicle off the road - a pickup that clearly spun out badly enough to be facing the traffic.
It was wonderful to see all our kids except the youngest and his fiancee who travelled to be with her family. I really like the new almost-fiancee (oldest son's). It helps that she wants chickens and cows as soon as they can get the land.
