Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Somehow I lost alerts a few pages ago, and just now caught up on everyone.
Welcome to the folks who just admitted Michigan connections! I've been kinda busy, and may be doing Christmas dinner here next week. Must get organized!!! It's this weekend, or never...
Still have one EE bantam cockerel who's extra. Anyone? He's nice but just one too many.
Some snow today, maybe three inches, blowing, and cold this weekend. Chickens stayed in today, they do hate the snow. It's beautiful though.

Happy Winter Solstice. This shortest day of the year marks the official start of winter. The Earth is tilted it's maximum away from the Sun.

The solstice marks not just winter, but a look forward towards spring, with the promise of a little more daylight each day.

The earliest sunset this year was on December 12th. The latest sunrise will be on December 30th.

10° here this morning brrr 🥶🥶🥶

I don't get alerts neither Mrs. Mary, so you ate not alone.

I see we got new meat here!
Chickenstock is so much fun. We take the newbies and tie them up and put a bright light until they tell us theor real reason to join. Great initiation process. 🤣🤪

We love to eat and learn about each other. I missedit last year but hopefully this year I get to go.
Welcome to our new members. Ask and you shall receive. Many here have lots of information about chickens and are so wonderful. They even take sick calls, 😘 i am so greatful for everyone here.
I have 20, 19 girls and 1 boy. They are inside because I get a lot of winter being by Lake Michigan. I an between Muskegon and Ludington on the west side of the State.
Welcome and enjoy these great people.
Sally, i miss you. I have been homebound for a month. Darth waders engine died. Not investing on another engine. Have to cut my loses and trying to sell it as mechanic special to see what I can get after loosing 8k. Red is still running but needs a new back bar and tires. Not driving it in this weather.
Hope to see you all soon.
Thank you Rose for being so wonderful. Mrs. Mary is the sweetest woman I have ever met. And you, yeap my Yooper friend, glad you are still on the map. Heard the storms hit the UP hard and keep you in prayers, my lovely Michelle.
