We saw this product that you can put in your kitchen. It turns leftover food into food for chickens. But I wanted to know the opinion of the group here. I would use it with their layering feed and not as a primary food source.

The website claims... "Mill is the easiest, cleanest way to turn food scraps into shelf-stable food for 🐓. Save money. Save resources. Save time. And make your chickens happy."

Has anyone used something similar to this product or even this product with their chickens?

Thanks in advance!!

I haven’t used it but it seems like it makes compost. Why would you feed chickens compost?Am I misunderstanding this? Also here’s something I found on their website.

What a scam of a claim for a product that cost more than $800! They suggest that you feed the "dried grounds" from your left overs (not compost) at a rate of 5% total daily intake.. in my opinion.. you'd be better off and save $ by feeding leftover directly to your birds.. but here's the link with how they're suggesting you use it..

It would be a hard PASS for myself.

Still, fun (and funny) to see the products being marketed to my fellow poultry keepers!
