Mille Cochin Info

Reyvaughn, do you have any new photos of your roo from Cadeau?

County Boy - I have 3 more who are set to go to new homes!

2 are MF mahogany, 1 is going to be really nicely patterned, but is more on the calico side as a young guy right now.

all 3 are between 3 and 5mths.
I also have some MF girlies to go, too, if you want a pair or a trio?

Not much has changed with the cockerel, Country Boy. Other than he's 'active' and crowing now. Two girls are laying and I have no idea who. I think it's the mahogany MFC girl and the buff Columbian based girl from you Cadeau.

I'll try to get new pics. They are not very photogenic.

ok well, i'm getting overwhelmed with chicks. LOL

again.

i've got a number of mille/calico cockerels looking for homes, as well as a few pullets too. and even more 'i don't know's...

i can't ship, but if anyone is passing thru, or knows someone passing thru, drop me a note and we'll see what we can work out. always willing to swap for hatching eggs even (in other colors please!)

DARN IT! I'm wanting some mille cochins but i live in TX!!!!! grrrrrr.....any idea how I could go about making a LF mille project? I think they would be beautiful. exactly what colors etc do I cross to get the correct pattern? I know lots of patience and years go with it!

i think several people went with mottled and buff columbian to get the desired effects, but it is a long term project, not a quick fix... and i don't know if LF cochins come in either of those colors...

one possible suggestion, breed a nice mille bantam roo to a lf hen? (ai if necessary), breed those chicks (F1) back to each other, and then cross the best of those (F2) out to LF cochin again, repeating the pattern until you get the type/color/etc you're looking for.
