Minuet is a year old porcelain d’uccle. She is missing her feathers on the top part of her neck. The bare region is hidden under overlapping feathers, but when you pull them back, it’s pretty obvious. We don’t have a rooster. I checked closely with a magnifying glass and don’t see any sign of mites or eggs. This is the only area on her body that this is happened. I’ll post a picture and would appreciate anybody’s idea what’s causing this? Other than that she’s in perfect health. Thank you.!

The others are picking her old she's molting.
I didn’t think about molting. I’ve never seen her get picked on, but possibly on the roost at night, the D’uccles always try to almost bury them selves underneath the bigger birds on the roost for some reason. Maybe she is getting pecked at night. I’m not sure what I can do about that. The birds don’t really free range but almost, lots of space and plenty to do during the day. maybe I’ll reach in and move her at night. Thanks for the tip.

I think she's molting, actually.
