It would be roughly 12 ml per gallon which is a stronger solution than for northern foul mites.

It sounds like you're right, but the dilution may be low. I redid the dilution for red mites and got 0.44tsp per 24 oz.

Dilution: 2oz per 5gal (as recommended on the label for red mites)

2oz is 59ml and 5gal is 640oz

59ml divided by 640oz = 0.09 ml per oz

0.09ml multiplied by 24oz = 2.16ml or 0.44 tsp.

At strongest strength ( the mites I have are hard to kill)
What’s most water I can add please ?
In litres ? Or pints ?

I showed my husband your guys’ math conversions and we were indeed under dosing. We’ll repeat tomorrow with the correct dosage and hopefully I’ll have a happy update in the near future

I was just wondering how it worked out for you. Fighting North mites right now.. I do not understand how that happens. I clean their coop every day, they have bath dust and this is the first time I found an infestation on the flock. I have also Elector PSP and still find clusters after a week. I made the solution more concentrated today, so I should see if it works better.

Currently fighting red mite infestation with elector psp.. I did 9ml per gallon and they’re still crawling around after a couple days *shudders*. I think I’ll up the dosage to 12ml per gallon next go around. I hope OP and you are doing well as this is a very old thread. I pray there’s a glimmer of hope for me and my gang

Any update on if the 12mL worked? I have one Pullet that is re-infested after treating the whole flock and coop with 9mL 3 weeks ago. I have a big bottle of elector arriving tomorrow. My plan was to spray everything and the whole flock with the 12mL solution and repeat in a week.

If you read their fact sheet it says repeat applications may be necessary. I personally use permethrin. It does require repeat applications and works and very cost effective. Another BYC member made a solution sheet depending on the concentration you use.
