Mixing Bantams & Standards

I’ve been keeping chickens for many years. Mostly Standard Cochins, but right now I have 3 Cochins, 3 Amercaunas, and a couple X’s. The darn Bantams & Silkies are so darn cute!! My grandkids would flip. Can Standards and Bantams intermingle without stress and bullying? Thx!

Depends on the housing. I always recommend keeping standards and bantams separately, but some members have had some luck keeping them together. For the best chance of success you need lots of room, and places smaller birds can slip under or through to escape. You will also need multiple feeding and water stations. Having gentle standard breeds can also help. I personally prefer my bantams having their own set up, so I don't need to worry.
